Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Character level celebration?

I think it'd be cool if something funky happened on the "Your Progress" page when you hit a milestone like 500, 1000, 2000 etc. Or maybe you get a nice email? I know this isn't high-priority, but just a thought.

This is a good idea. I think it would work well as part of a more general achievement system we'd build, perhaps to go with the planned leaderboard.
