Hi guys,

the queue is suddenly not working for me. My characters are down to about 90% due, but no new characters are being taken from the queue. After writing about 20 characters at a time, the system appears to be loading new words from the queue (green dots going across the top corner)but then nothing happens. I have tried waiting for up to 10 minutes.

Any ideas?

Click the round green plus button upper left on the practice page next to the green/blue bar with word counts in it. That's at least a manual work-around until you figure out what else might be going on. The green dots you mention are not about the queue adding a new word, but just loading a word into the square (or that what it seems like to me).

This is probably a silly question, but have you checked that there are still words in your queue ? (click Vocabulary then Queue)

It looks like when you add a word, it's going through your Main List from near the beginning, looking for something you haven't already added. It might be that it's still doing that, while it looks like it's hung. If this happens again, click the "active lists" button and see if the Main List section progress bar is moving.

When I click on active lists I do see that is searching through Main List. Furthermore, when I click to view Main List, I see that that section that skritter is looking through shows up as "adding" in stead of done (even though every word has been studied). What is particularly strange is that the list that says "adding" changes. For example, yesterday when I looked at Main List, the status of section 8 was adding, whereas now it is section 3.

The list must have been reset to the beginning. You can get to its section in the "Study Settings" function of the list in its "More Actions" button on its page and put yourself to the section you want to be at; then you won't have to wait for it to go through again.
